The Image Approvals web app is clean, desktop and mobile optimised, and easy to use. It is designed with simplicity and speed in mind, so that even the most tech-shy person can instinctively work out how to use it. The result is a better experience for cast and their reps and a quicker turnaround on the whole approvals process. Each cast member gets a unique account to browse photographs by production day and keep track of which images they have viewed, are yet to view, and have killed. New images uploaded to the platform appear immediately, with no need to send fresh share links or contact sheets.

Actors can browse by thumbnail or one image at a time, and our one-click-kill process cuts the number of clicks or touches needed to work through a day. Kill a photograph by accident and you can navigate back to un-kill it. Once an actor has finished a day, they mark it as done, so you can see the process is on track to finish on time.

Keep track of kill counts, solo and group

We keep track of image kill counts so that you don't have to. Kill counts can be limited to each actor's contracted percentages and are tracked independently for solo and group shots, so everyone stays within the deal that was struck. The platform simply won't allow talent to kill more than their allocated contracted allowance. Actors see a simple breakdown showing how many images they appear in, how many they are allowed to kill, and what percentage of that allowance they have used.

Publicists and producers overseeing the process get a production-wide oversight view. It lays out every cast member assigned to the shoot side by side, so the team can see each actor's kill allowance and how far through their approvals they are at a glance.

Export PDF contact sheets with a built-in audit trail

Authorised accounts have a downloads section where they can export fully customisable contact sheets or spreadsheet reports, choosing exactly which images and data they want to display (everything, just the killed shots, or the cleared selects) in both PDF and spreadsheet formats.

These reports show which talent killed each image and which cast have marked each day as done. That extra information acts as a clear audit trail and stops contact sheets being distributed, or images shared, before actors have finished their kill process.

Photographers don't need their own upload accounts. Instead, they send their images to our technical team, who handle all of the photo lab work (RAW handling, conversion, captioning and quality control) and get the stills online for cast to view and clear as quickly as possible, from the first day of production.
